TCO 220: Information Design

In this assignment, I redesigned the existing TCO recruitment poster. I created a new and trendy design that is eye-catching. My design won the poster contest for the Technical Communication department and will be featured in the department for the foreseeable future. I designed the word cloud and poster in Microsoft Powerpoint.

Summit Program
TCO 376: Visual Communication

This assignment is a program design for the 2021 Technical Communication Summit Conference. For this design I utilized Adobe InDesign and took inspiration from the Summit logo.
​
The specifictions for the assignment are listed below:

Page size. Because of budgetary and mailing considerations, the design must fit on one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" or 8 1/2" x 14" paper. You can use one side or both sides of the sheet.

Page shape. You may fold the paper or not fold the paper, as you wish. The printed program will be placed in a conference folder that all attendees will receive at the conference.

Paper stock/color. You can use any paper color or stock available at local copy stores. Because the online version can contain as much color as you wish, you might consider varying the design some for viewing on screen.

Riot Games Report
TCO 485: Social Media Management
​
In this assignment, I analyzed the content of Riot Game's Instagram. I went above the assignment on this one and visually designed it based on project proposals and textbooks I had reviewed for other courses. I designed the report on Adobe Indesign and also utilized Adobe Illustrator for some of the graphical elements. I themed the report on Riot Games and technology, trying to keep things sleek and easy to read while increasing visual interest.

Information Design
Helvetica Typography Zine
GRA 220: Typography 1
​
For this assignment, I designed a zine for the font Helvetica. I used a combination of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. I also authored the content for the zine. This zine was inspired by a play on black and white but using blue instead of black, with highlights of red like an old newspaper. I used color blocks to keep the overall design simple and increase readability.
